FAQ
Do you accept insurance?
Individual therapy sessions are typically covered by insurance. We are in network with BCBS PPO. We are no longer accepting Blue Choice plans.
If we are not in network with your plan, we can file the claim or give you a superbill to submit for out of network benefits.
Insurance disclaimer: We bill insurance for conditions that meet medical necessity.
According to Medicare.gov, "medically necessary" is defined as "health-care services or supplies needed to prevent, diagnose, or treat an illness, injury, condition, disease, or its symptoms and that meet accepted standards of medicine."
What do I need to know about fees and payment?
Individual Therapy
Initial Assessments are $165. Ongoing sessions are $155. Co-payments, co-insurance and self-pay fees are collected at the time of service. A sliding scale may be available for self-pay clients.
Couples Therapy
Initial Assessments and ongoing sessions are $185. Fees are collected at the time of service.
What can I expect from the therapy session?
Therapy appointments are 55 to 60 minutes in length.
Sessions are typically scheduled for once a week. Twice weekly sessions are available when extra support is needed.
The first session is an assessment. We take this time to get to know you and what brought you to counseling. We gather information about your past and present history, your presenting issue, and your goals.
How long will I be in therapy?
The length of your therapy depends on your unique needs and situation. We will work with you to find the length of treatment that best meets your needs.
For couples, treatment length is significantly correlated to the internal emotional work that each partner puts into their time between sessions. Individual therapy is helpful for this but is not the only way to enhance the personal reflection and insight that benefits the couple's work.
