About Mackenzie
:Mackenzie is an Associate Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (ALMFT) and works with individuals and couples. She attended the University of Illinois, Champaign-Urbana, where she graduated in 2007 with a Bachelor of Science in Finance. She earned a Master of Arts in Counseling with a concentration of Couples and Family Therapy in 2022 from the University of Colorado, Denver.

Mackenzie's nature is warm and welcoming enabling clients to feel safe with her. She has an intuitive way of making clients feel heard, understood and trusting they are in good care.
Mackenzie is passionate about Emotionally Focused Therapy (EFT). She published a paper with Certified EFT Trainer and professor, Dr. Robert Allan. The publication is titled Conceptual and Application Considerations of EFT With White Heterosexual Working-Class Rural Males. She completed her first training, called EFT Externship, in 2019 and the ICEEFT approved advanced training, called EFT Core Skills, in 2021. Mackenzie continues to stay informed of best practices by participating in consulting groups and counseling clients using an Emotionally Focused Therapeutic approach.
